fly cards for fly game

use with pictures for fly game..print out flies then turn over paper and print pictures on the other side, cut out, laminate if you wish and attach a velcro dot to fly bellies.  Tape pieces of yarn to a wall or door with paperclips tied to the bottom of string (you want to use string about 3-4 inches long).  Put the cards in the paperclips with fly facing out.  Attach a square piece of velcro to the unrolled end of a party horn blower. The kids blow the horn and try to catch the flies.  The velro will pull the fly out of the clip when it retracts.  The kids can then name the picture for artic practice, id beginning, ending sounds, or phonological awareness activities like word or sound deletion (What is backbend without bend?).  Plus you get to work on lip rounding and blowing!  The kids LOVE it!!
