Greeting Others Different Ways to Greet People Sometimes my teachers greet me by saying "hi" or "hello" Sometimes my friends greet me too! Greeting is a way to show we care about someone. Acknowledging their greetings makes people feel happy. I can also start a greeting myself! I can say "Hello" or "Hi". or I can wave. I can nod. I can smile. If the greeting happens somewhere we should be quiet then usually it doesn't start a conversation. If the greeting is somewhere where it's ok to talk like recess or lunch it can start a conversation! This is a great way to make friends or acknowledge people!
