Social Story on Rules for Group Work (Revised) Rules for Group Work (Revised) Rules for Group Work at School. Every time we work with people we need to use our social skills. Social skills are rules that help me make connections with people and make others feel comfortable. The rules are not written. Many people figure them out by themselves but sometimes I may need help learning the rules. When we work in groups there are rules too. When I work in a group I follow these rules. I sit with the group. I don't sit away from the group. I say my ideas about the project when it's a good time. I listen to other students' ideas. I share the work with others. I don't do all of the work I do the same amount of work as the other students. When I follow the group rules the other students will feel comfortable. If I don't use the rules for group work other people will feel... Confused or annoyed. When I want to share an idea I can think of something to say about the Topic. Then I say "What about..." and tell them my idea. Sharing my thoughts will make me part of the group.
