It is ok to feel disappointed when you have a small problem. It is not ok to be frustrated and mad because it's not a big problem. Sometimes I don't want to do my work and I get frustrated. This is a good idea. I can take 10 deep breaths to help me cool down. I could tell my teacher a need a break Go to a quiet area. Ask to get a drink of water. and ask to listen to music. I could go get a fidget cube to help me calm down. My teacher and OT will help me learn the straits I need to self regulate and calm down. I know the difference between a big problem and a small problem and how I should react. I know I can use my strategies to help me. I know I can match my reaction to the size of my problem by knowing my strategies and asking for help when I'm not sure what the size of my problem is.
