Stealing When I take things that are not mine without asking it is called stealing. Taking a friend's food without asking is stealing. Taking things from other people's backpacks is stealing. Taking toys from other people is called stealing. Taking an iPhone is stealing. If I want something that is not mine I need to ask. I can say "May I please?" When we take things without asking it can make my friends upset. Stealing makes my friends mad.
