When School Stays Home My school cannot come out and play. it looks like i will stay home today. it feels a little weird I don’t really know. What will I do if to school I don’t go? It is important I stay busy. so I can learn and grow! i bet i can think of an idea or two that will make each day fun. I can read or play or bake or sing. I could even jump and run. first I’ll pick my favorite book and read it to my mom. Then I will read it two more times to make sure she followed along. I can ask her questions about my book like who and what and where. Then we can have a snack some crackers we can share. next i will draw a picture of the moon and stars and sky. i can pretend to be an astronaut flying really high! i’ll zoom around my yard or house look at my rocket go! then i can tell of my space adventures to my grandparents over video. now it’s time for lunch in the kitchen I can help. I wash my hands and sing a song. All clean now it won’t be long. Yay let’s eat! Look at this food. It has so many colors shapes and sizes too. Some taste salty and some taste sweet. I have to eat my veggies before I get a treat. Now at the table it’s time for work. I have learning I must do. I want my brain to grow big and strong so i watch my new video and follow right along. I can count and read and write and play. I get to do my school work at home today! I draw my letters and practice the sounds. Look how I made a circle start at the top then go around. I count my numbers and stack my blocks. I name my animals bear moose fox. i want to learn what animals like maybe later we can go outside for a hike. I finish up my work and clean up any mess. I get ready for tomorrow. What will happen. Can you guess? Whew my day was full of fun! School and leaning now all done but I didn’t go to my school today? Surprise! School came to my house to play!
