I can deal with my feelings. I like to ride my bike and like to race with kids in my neighborhood. The big kids often win. This makes me feel bad. Sometimes I feel so sad that I get very angry. Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I argue and yell with my parents. Sometimes I don't know whether I will ever win a race. When I lose a race I am very sad inside. But then I can remember that I am growing bigger every day. Riding bikes can be fun even when I don't win. Throwing a tantrum is not a good way of dealing with my feelings. I can ask my mom or dad to give me a hug. I can snuggle with a stuffed toy or a blanket. I can even give myself a hug. One day I will be big enough to win a race. But I can remember to just have fun riding bikes with other kids. Winning is nice but having fun riding my bike is very good too. I can make good choices how to deal with my feelings.
