You can use this visual to discuss, identify, and practice different tones of voice with your students. I use it to kick off a conversation about how there are different ways to be respectful with our tone of voice. We can agree or disagree with a friend, and still be respectful. Conversely, we can agree with somebody in a disrespectful manner (not okay). Have your student listen to you say various statements in: agreement/respect, agreement/disrespect, disagreement/respect, and disagreement/disrespect. He or she can identify the tone of voice using this visual. You can also have the student practice saying different statements, compliments, and questions by changing their tone of voice to ask it respectfully and disrespectfully.
