Egg Matching Game eggs matching game Easter eggs plastic eggs

I use this activity in a center / task box and as a part of my motor group (themed learning station). I printed these picture cards of plastic eggs and placed them in the box, along with plastic eggs. The students would try to put together the plastic egg halves to match the picture on the picture card.

This activity develops fine motor skills and cognitive matching skills. My students connect the representational picture with the 3-D object. In addition this works on basic colors, top / botton, and open / close.

Last year I used bigger picture cards. This year I found smaller plastic eggs and printed these smaller cards. The smaller size added to the level of difficulty for 4-5 year olds.
