Learning Recovery with LessonPix

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ARP ESSER) provides state educational agencies with emergency funds to address the impact from coronavirus. LessonPix provides evidence-based interventions through visual strategies to improve learning outcomes. 

 

What is the ARP ESSER Fund?

The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund is the portion of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, PL 117-2 that awards grants to state educational agencies (SEAs) for the purpose of providing local educational agencies (LEAs) and some childcare centers with emergency funds to address the impact of the coronavirus.

 

Addressing needs of children who meet the following- low income, English language learners, foster care youth, children with disabilities, racial and ethnic minorities, and students experiencing homelessnessPlanning for or implementing activities during long term closures, including providing technology for online learningPurchasing educational technology for students that aid in regular and substantive educational interaction between students and their instructors

Through the ESSER Fund, Congress provides Local Educational Agencies (LEA) considerable flexibility in determining how best to use ESSER funds. These LEAs must reserve at least 20 percent of funds to address learning loss through the implementation of evidence-based interventions, ensure that those interventions respond to students’ social, emotional, and academic needs, and address the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on underrepresented student subgroups.
